The last post went off into tangents I wasn’t looking for.
The question is why do gays support liberals? What have they done to further your cause?
New York and California, both very liberal states have affirmed a ban on *** marriage.
New Jersey and Vermont, again, both very liberal states only provide second class status of civil unions.
And Massachusetts has *** marriage only because of a court ruling. The same court also ruled that the voters should be able to vote to over turn the ruling, which looks likely that they will.
If the legislature passed the bill allowing *** marriage, no one could stop them as they have enough votes to override the governors veto.
Massachusetts has almost 75% of its population as registered democrats. It should be a breeze, right? No, they fear by supporting you they would lose their jobs.
So why do the liberals get so much support from the *** community? What have they done for you?

I don’t support liberals. My sexual orientation is not political.
Why do you insist and why th F—K do you care about it so much.?
Here in California:
1) domestic Partners law: gives most of the same rights as married without all the hassle.
2) all laws concerning discrimination towards sexual orientation have been initiated by Liberals, not middle of the roaders OR conservatives
3) Any progress Gays have made in the last 40 years has been with the help of Liberals.
4) You are looking at specific limitations…look at the whole picture, not the fine print. *** Marriage, today, is a very touchy issue and hasn’t a chance of passing in most states…so what…that is today, not tomorrow. NOTHING worth having has happened without serious fighting and serious time. In fact, with your logic, the US would still belong to England.
5) You need to be more pragmatic in your outlook…see the good in life, not what you percieve as wolves in sheep’s clothing…I don’t see it that way at all. IF *** marriage cannot win, it is a fight that should not be fought AT THIS TIME….timing is everything in life, not just politics.
Thanks for an interesting view, even though I don’t agree with your premise. Good luck
Homosexuality is a natural state of being, not a contrived political membership, so your question is redundant.
Most of you Americans choose NOT to vote, anyway. That is your ‘constitutional’ right, isn’t it? Americans have the constitutional right to be lazy by not voting.
I’m socially liberal and economically conservative. My political party is Libertarian, not Democratic. Thanks for generalizing though.
I tend to dislike being told I’m a pervert, or immoral or that I’m going to hell, like many conservative leaders are fond of announcing, especially near election time. Liberals don’t say as many idiotic, offensive comments as conservatives do. Comprende?
