   Bird: Chickadee

   Mammal: Their state marine mammal is the right whale and their state domestic mammals are the morgan horse, tabby cat, and boston terrier

   Reptile: Garter Snake

   Tree: American Elm

   Famous People: John Adams, John Hancock, Edgar Allen Poe

   Massachusetts is known for all the witch trials that occured in Salem.

   Facts:
   The Basketball Hall of Fame is located in Springfield, Massachusetts

   Boston built the US’s first subway system in 1897

   The fourteen counties in Massachusetts are contain 308 towns and 43 cities.

   Massachusett’s state muffin is the corn muffin.
