How Did Mitt Romney Become Governor of Massachusetts?

Massachusetts is a liberal state, the only state to go for McGovern, and Romney is a Republican.

He’s also a Mormon. I am not aware that Massachusetts has a large Mormon population.

    Because he told people what they wanted to hear when he ran for governor. Now that he’s running for the votes of conservative primary voters, he’s flipped his views and is now telling them what they want to hear.

    Basically he’s a good used car salesman.

    His dad was governor of Michigan. The only good governor we had before the last few. The state was doing well then. I was too young to vote, but my folks didn’t care if he was a Mormon, he was a good governor. The Mormon’s don’t all live in Utah, they’re all over. I live in a small Georgia town and they’ve got a bunch here. They all seem very polite.

    He ran as a moderate Republican being pro choice, among other things. Plus Massachusetts has some conservative areas, most notably parts of Boston.

    Because Romney WAS a liberal. He was in favor of abortion and *** marriage. Now he’s flip-flopped and is running as a conservative. Can we really trust him this time? Maybe he’ll flip back to being a liberal.

    The New governor of Louisiana is Indian, I didn’t know that one had to have a large same particular population if you are a leader. I thought this was America.

    I think his dad was a governor and politician……so he rode on his dad’s experience.

    Because even liberals can get it right, once in a while.

    Remember that in 1984, President Ronald Reagan won 49 states in his reelection bid, including Massachusetts.

    Of course, by today’s standards, both John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy would be moderate Republicans. I doubt if either would stand much of a chance in Massachusetts today!
