As a physical therapist, how would you like a student present himself or herself asking for a job? Do you like it when he or she asks straight out if there is a PT aide job, or would you like a full introduction of themselves? Would you recommend a resume? This is my first PT aide job. I did have some medical experience (volunteer job) at a cancer center. Give me as much information about this!!

Jen F asked:

My boyfriend just moved to Massachusetts, he has a mass ID now and is a Mass Resident. He is in the process of getting a job (has a couple of interviews and such). but at the moment he doesn’t have one. We both have gotten sick, I went to the ER and found out I Have bronchitis. I didn’t have insurance yet either, so they had me meet with a financial counselor the next morning and she had me fill out my mass health forms, told me I would get Mass Safety Net which would pay for most or all of that ER visit and everything else. But I had a job so I was able to give them my paystubs. Anyways, I am reading online that he most likely wouldn’t be eligible because he doesn’t have a job and had worked in the past 12 months.
He is pretty sure he got one of the jobs he went in for, but he won’t be receiving paystubs from them for a couple weeks.
I guess what I’m asking is. if he goes to the ER (he has been miserable for days now) and they have him apply to masshealth, does he need to have paystubs right away for them? I don’t want his application to go in and say he doesn’t have a job,…and then by the time mass health reviews it finds out that he just infact got a job.

sorry for the rambeling, I hope what I’m asking makes sense.

I have a friend named Donald and he is an alcoholic. He never got along with his father because they have contrasting views in life. Even if they spend most of the time fighting, Donald loves his father very much. When his father died of a heart attack two years ago, Donald was so devastated that he turned to alcohol for some temporary comfort. I want to find an alcohol rehab in Hinsdale, Massachusetts that he can check into to help him stop his drinking problems. Please help me.
