I was **** canned at my old job, and I thought they could only give dates when employment history was checked, yet they told my prospective employer that I was fired. I am in Massachusetts, as laws differ from state to state.

Need advice for Massachusetts Unemployment what are my chances?

OK i got let go from a job i have been working at for only 2 months. I worked at another job prior to this job for 3 1/2 years but that company had a change in management and i didn’t like the way i was treated so i quit and 2 months later i found this new job that i was working at for 2 months as well before they let me go.

Here is how it all started.I slipped on some ice one evening (not in the company at home)and fell down some cemented steps and hurt my *** and back. I didn’t have a primary doctor anymore because i left my old job and started a new job but the new job’s benefits did not kick in yet i needed 120 days in. So i went and paid cash to a walk in chiropractor and he examined me and said i had a sprained lower lumbar and gave me a doctors note to refrain from work for 7 actual working days. I went to see him the second day i called out from work. The next day in the morning i told my boss over the phone what he said and i had a doctors and when i would be returning to work. My boss said OK but then that same day in the afternoon the HR called me and said they had to let me go because they have a busy work schedule and couldn’t wait for my return and had to fill my position. I was pissed but what can i do.

Would i be able to collect unemployment in Massachusetts for this until i find something else if i have a doctors note or not. Thanks

HI I am 44 years old and worked all my life I just started this new job three weeks a go exactly. I received a verbal warning Tuesday of this week, and a written warning this past Friday because I have been making mistakes on my data entry orders. And the girls checking my orders are young they are in there twenties. I have a feeling they want me out of the position everytime i make a mistake they tell me i correct it and they go back and tell the manager remind you now i am entering orders for hair products and just started three weeks ago to put it correctly the next mistake I make I am out the door. Now do you think this is fair. Do you think I should tell the labor board I live in Massachusetts. Please help
