Can someone tell me a particular quote inscribed in the wall of the Massachusetts State House?

Massachusetts
Tourist 2007 asked:

I am looking for a particular quote inscribed in the Massachusetts State House that I saw last year while visiting Boston. It goes roughly something like, “I chose to practice politics so that my children can be engineers and doctors and that my grandchildren can be scientists and artists and musicians.” It might be from one of the Adams. Thanks to all!
