Can I convert my German drivers license in Massachusetts?

IC HOW IT IS asked:

I can only use my German drivers license for a year in the states. But I am planning in staying longer. I know heard that I may be able to convert it to the Massachusetts drivers license without doing the tests. I heard only the Canadians, the Mexicans and the Germans can do it. Germany because they have such complex procedures in getting it.
Is it possible? Is it true?

    Call your local State Police barracks and talk to someone that knows the answer.

    You need to go to the Massachusetts Dept. of Motor Vehicles. They will give you all the info that you will need.
