Are there any employment opportunities in Massachusetts through a volunteer organization?

I’m an engineering student and want to use my future degree to better the lives of those less fortunate than myself. An example of what I’m looking for…the Peace Corps has employment opportunities, but not any in Massachusetts in which I can put my education to use. Does anyone know of any organizations that I can work for in Massachusetts who do any kind of humanitarian work where I can use my degree?

    go with americorps. its great and they may have a place for someone with an engineering degree. im going into americorps in maryland. im traveling from california. they help with bills and housing. something u might want to look into.

    I think what you are looking to do is commendable.

    I am not sure about Massachusetts but you why not contact some of the larger NGO’s I am sure they could point you in the right direction.

    If you are ever considering doing volunteer work abroad I can recommend.
