So, the good people of Massachusetts are supposed to blindly re-elect him, right?
What do you think Frank is responsible for?
Do you think he has done a good or bad job?
What do you think of his opponent? Do you think he/she has a chance?

I am single, no kids. I am not in school. I am over the age of 25. I make $11/hr from my job full time. How much should I save for a one bedroom apt, not a studio. I get confused on the security and 1st month’s rent, is that the same? I plan on not spending more than $700 a month for rent. help me understand the process. I live in Massachusetts near Boston.

I want to be able to earn some of my own money to help out with buying new school clothes and such especially since i like to buy more expensive things. I am willing to do anything. I already babysit once a week and get about $20-$30. I am not really interested in getting other babysitting jobs. I want an actual job. I’m not really sure what places hire at 14 though. A lot of places are like at least 16.
Does anyone know any places that will definitely hire a 14year old? like mcdonalds or something?
also do you think a tanning salon would hire a 14 year old, just like cleaning the beds or something?
any suggestions would help! thankss

I have just moved to Massachusetts this week but even before than I posted my resume on Monster and Career-builder for jobs around the area I moved to but so far no one has called me back or given me a chance. What am I doing wrong? Is there something wrong with my resume. What can I do to improve my chances of getting a job here?

My first job I got was out of luck. I knew I didn’t want to work at a fast food restaurant. I thought finding a job would be easy, but I was wrong. I applied to a few places only to be turned down, because others had experience. I remember thinking to myself, “How are you ever going to get experience if no one ever hires you?”
That was until one day my mother told me, that her friend Crystal was looking for someone to help her at her office. Crystal worked at Williams College in Williamstown Massachusetts. I was told that my job would be helping her organize her office. I was so excited for finally getting a job. I was a bit nervous on the other hand; because my perceptions of Williams College people were that they were all rich, stuck up snobs. I also knew that William is generally acknowledged to be one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country. I thought maybe if I knew someone who worked at Williams, I could maybe get an education there.
I had just turned seventeen in June and was supposed to start in July of 2003. But the worst thing happened to me the weekend before I was supposed to start my job. I ended getting really sick, and had to go to the doctor first thing Monday morning. (The Monday I was supposed to start) I found out that my appendix burst, and had to get it removed right away. The next day I had surgery. I thought for sure she was going to hire somebody else, but luckily for me she didn’t. I started my job two weeks after the surgery.
My job began in the morning; and I was let out at 1pm. I knew jobs like that one were hard to get. I wanted to make a great impression for “Williams College”. For some reason I thought I would have had to over do myself. I really didn’t know anybody from Williams, but I have heard the students are considered as “smart jocks.” I just wanted to fit the part of working for Williams.
I took the bus from North Adams to Williamstown, which took about fifteen minutes to get there. This was my first bus trip as well, so I had two big things going on that day. I was quite nervous when I arrived on the bus, because there were all sorts of different people sitting there. There were older people, young kids, and mothers with their children all sitting down waiting for their destination. I sat at my spot wondering about all of the different people on the bus. I said to myself, “Do not worry about anybody here, they all have a place to go, just like you do.” I will never forget the old man with the missing teeth.
When I arrived at Williams College I was quite nervous. I walked up two flights of stairs to get to her office. I entered into her office, and she showed me what I would be doing. Afterwards she introduced me everyone on her floor. The first thing I notice was that nobody was dressed in these fancy suits or dresses that I had imagined. They were dressed up nice, but not to the point were you would feel intimated by them. They were all so nice to me and very welcoming. I did not feel intimated one bit. Everyone joked around with me saying, “It’ll take years before you ever get her office organized.” Crystal’s office was a total disaster. She had mounds of paperwork piled up waiting to be organized. This woman has worked here for almost twenty years, so you can only imagine how much paper work she had.
My job duties mostly consisted of filing and shredding. I was there to help her organize her office. She had two big closets that had all sorts of paper work shoved in there. I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. You would think that because of where she works she would be almost freakishly organized. No one seemed to get upset about the clutter in her office. They would only make fun of her. I realized that these people are only human, and we all have our faults.
The most tantalizing job duty I had was shredding. I carried big mail boxes of old documents. Crystal showed me where the shredder was and said,” This should take you awhile.” I took one look at this shredder and said, “Wow.” This shredder was a huge white shredder that fit 30 gallon sized trash bags. It was also so loud it resembled a Mac truck going by. I was so afraid that the others on that floor were getting annoyed with me. I must have sat there for two good hours of just shredding.
Throughout my whole experience of my first job, I’ve realized that I did a lot of stereotyping. I even stereotyped people who used the b-bus, without even realizing it. My first job taught me to be respectful of others, and to not judge unless you know them. It sometimes may be hard, because of things you hear from other people. It almost stays to your mind to the point where you believe it’s true. My first job provided me with a wide range of experiences and the opportunity to be critical of myself, not just others. This job even helped me get the job I have today. I am a customer service representative at an Insurance agency. Having worked there for almost four years, I am now being considered for a promotion.
I want too do a good job. Sorry I know this is long. But, I have worked very hard on this paer
