My dad hasn’t had a job in 8 months, and we are ‘supposedly’ moving back to massachusetts (we live in nevada). he talks as if we’re moving at the end of the month, but it never happens! anyway, he has a new “plan” as he calls it….to not pay for the house!!! i’m so worried! if he doesn’t pay the morgage on the house, how long until they kick us out?!?!
the reason that he’s “doing this” is because he bought the house for 300,000 and now it’s worth 100,000 and he owes like 200,000 on it…something like that.
what can i do!!???
i’m only 15, and i don’t have ANY realities on the west coast!

My mother owns the house and the tenant lost her job. The tenant wants to break the lease because she can’t afford to pay the rent. What is the tenant/landlord rights on this in Massachusetts? The lease ends in May/June I think.
ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL(meaning equal resume, experience etc) Who would u hire?Shaniqua or Emily? Why?

In the study “Are Emily and Brendan More Employable than Lakisha and Jamal?” Marianne Bertrand, an associate professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and Sendhil Mullainathan of Massachusetts Institute of Technology use a field experiment to measure the extent of race-based job discrimination in the current labor market.
The authors find that applicants with white-sounding names are 50 percent more likely to get called for an initial interview than applicants with African-American-sounding names. Applicants with white names need to send about 10 resumes to get one callback, whereas applicants with African-American names need to send about 15 resumes to achieve the same result.
I lived since 1997 in Usa, state of Massachusetts unfortunately illegaly, not because I want to, On that time I was young, had no much experience of life and my country, BRAZIL, it is difficult to get a job even if you have a Bachelor degree as me, so I went to USA, left my work at the Bank in Brazil, my salary was $ 300,00 per month and try to make a better life in USA. When I get there I subject myself in work in any kind of jobs like, cleaning, factory even lke that I was happier, I could have a independent life, no financial problems. I always pay my taxes with my ITIN, I had a legal Driver’s license from Massachusetts , a had a excellent credit and everything, all of my dreams never were realized, I wish that I had the chance to be legal in USA some day because I love USA with all my heart, I learned how to speak, write and thinking in english, communication wasn’t a problem for me anymore. But right now with the economic trouble that Mr. BUSCH with so many wars and wrong ideas putting the USA into a large recession made me get back to Brazil, but I’m still crying, USA lives in my heart, I will always think about your country, it never was mine, but I wish was. I went to see 5 lawyers, THEY SAID THERE IS NOT IMMIGRATION LAWs at this moment, what is the problem? We don’t want to take any american job, we want to fill the empty spaces, that’s all. My dream and I pray everyday that if Obhama open a immigration law bringing everybody back I will go, because I love your country even more then mine.

I work a full-time and a part-time job and have carried medical insurance through both employers. I no longer want to carry the insurance from the part-time employer. When I sent letter(s) to the main office, I was denied – twice. Can you believe they denied me for insurance that I PAY FOR? They told me I could only make changes during open enrollment. I feel violated. I have since contacted the insurance commission in my state (Massachusetts) and am waiting for an answer from them. Short of quitting the job (which I don’t want to do), can anyone out there offer me any assistance as to what I should do?
